THE AMBASSADOR

Just as God created the Angels to be His messengers, He also created us to be His messengers; His Ambassadors! An Ambassador is an authorized representative commissioned to carry out the instructions of the Commissioner!

In II Corinthians 5:20 the Apostle Paul says we are Ambassadors for Christ, one who comes in the name of Jesus. Christian Ministers (servants of the Lord and His people) have a responsibility to participate in the reconciliation of those who are living in sin. There is a message from Christ that must be proclaimed; a message of peace and reconciliation. Ambassadors are to speak boldly to make known the mysteries of the Gospel through the divine revelation of Christ.

Jesus said we will do GREATER works than He. Geographically, Jesus was confined to Palestine, whereas we have the opportunity to reach multitudes of people to the uttermost parts of the universe. The Gospel must be proclaimed and He has chosen us, those who are faithful to proclaim His Gospel. What message are you carrying and who are you carrying it for? Let me encourage you today,you have been called, appointed and anointed to be an Ambassador for Christ!

REAL TALK: IN TIMES OF TROUBLE, PRAY!

DISCLAIMER: I HAVE COME TO IMPART WORDS OF ENCOURAGEMENT. TO SPEAK ONLY AS I HAVE BEEN DIRECTED, AFTER HAVING PRAYED, TO SPEAK LIFE, NOT TO PERSUADE, BUT TO ALLOW THE POWER OF THE HOLY SPIRIT IN ME TO TRANSFORM AND RENEW YOUR MIND.

Greetings Friends;

It has been said that, “Tough Times Do Not Last, But Tough People Do! This is not an unfamiliar place for some of us; sure it hurts and you would rather not deal with it and frankly; you do not want to be in this state of “Troubled Times”. Nobody does! Your reality is this: It’s only a test? So, I hear you saying what do you mean? When we are faced with challenges such as trials, tribulation, temptations, etc.etc…oftentimes it is God trying to get our attention! He has a place (or state of mind) He wants us to be and He has to send these troubled times our way. These are times when God tests our faith, our patience, our trust in him, even our submission unto him. When we say we believe God, he wants to know if we really do. I believe that God sends trouble our way to protect us from our own demise; in other words He protects us from the dangers that are unforeseen to us. He knows us better than we know ourselves, because He is The Creator.

Without going into a lot of detail, I will be a little transparent. November of 2008 was probably the worst time of my life. I felt that I had hit rock bottom, everything that could go wrong went wrong. I wallowed in pity; I became very angry, and even a little depressed. I was in a place where I didn’t want the opinions or advice of others; I really didn’t want to be bothered with anyone. That’s okay because as humans that is a natural tendency. But I realized these emotions were causing more pain than it was worth. So, I began to do what I knew best to do; I PRAYED!!!!

Prayer is your personal conversation with God, it can be audible or you can write it out. You do not have to be a bible scholar or have what is called a prayer language; but you must have pure motives, a pure heart and the faith to believe what you are praying for will happen. Scripture let us know that without Faith it is impossible to please God (Hebrews 11:6). Your troubles/tests come to make you stronger. Giving Up is not an option!!!! He has brought you out before and He will do it again. I believe God is calling you to come closer to Him. Lean not to your own understanding, but trust him in ALL of His ways and He will direct your path. (Proverbs 3:5-6) Your troubles are really light afflictions. He already knows the plans He has for you; how do you find out His plans for you ? You pray and be specific in what you are asking for, and you read and do His Word.

Prayer in the time of trouble will bring comfort, and insight maybe causing a different perspective. While the issue may still exist (for a short while), prayer will humble you, allow you to bear the pain and cause you to submit to the will of God! Sometimes we have to embrace the very thing that seems to be causing us pain. Does it make sense? No, because our ways are not His ways, nor are our thoughts His thoughts. One thing that I know for certain and nothing can make me believe otherwise, is that the Word of God is true. Because God has created us as free agents, we have the choice to believe what His Word says or otherwise…whatever that may be.

The book of Job is the best example of times of trouble, testing, and affliction and the bible says that he was a righteous man. God is no respecter of person. Job lost everything he had including his family, but in the end God gave everything back and gave him double!

Our troubles come in various ways; self-inflicted, caused by others(we become the sufferers of this infliction), caused by Satan himself and others God will cause (remember God is trying to get your attention).
I encourage you to keep your head up, no matter what! Things will get better, when, I cannot tell you, but I know they will. You are a strong child of God. Let the scriptures encourage you. You must past the test, because if you don’t you know you’ll have to take it until you do. It is my prayer that God will speak to your heart through people who are truly and authentically concerned about you, who love you and have nothing but your best interest at heart. Trust not in man, but trust God. He’s got you. He may seem far away, but he is right there. He said,” I will never leave you or forsake you” (Hebrews 13:5) be encouraged, God said,”He would give you the desires of your heart, if you believe when you ask” When you pray remind God of what He said. It’s not that He doesn’t already know, but He wants to know that we know and this also increases your faith.
Declare that No weapon that is formed against you will prosper and every evil tongue (conversation) that rise up WILL BE CONDENMED! I believe God will expediently turn everything around. Meditate on the following Scriptures:
Matthew 6:26-34; Psalm 23; Psalm 91; Philippians 4:6-9 and 4:19; Ephesians 3:20. This is just a few. I am praying for you and if you desire I will pray with you.
